Since childhood, where I would be given a new reason why I should be insecure about different feature of myself, year by year, not solely from social media, but from family members, and members of the black community who have been a victim of self hate, due to the system we live in (i think we all know what I am referring to).
Due to the experience that I've had, I feel that it is essential to speak about self love. The first biggest transition which pushed me onto having a healthy perspective o myself was, you guessed it, the transition of my hair, into it's natural state. A feature of myself which has been demonised since childhood.

I believe that documenting observations, research and opening the discussion on where the mindset of self hatred can root, can provide a safe space for those who have had similar experiences, those who would like to learn about issues surrounding these topics, and having a space where you truly feel included.
And maybe I'll begin producing video content to go along with these concepts.

I hope this blog interests you, let's have a discussion on the struggles of a black woman trying to be unapologetic!
